Timber or composite

Timber decking

Hardwood. Spotted gum, ironbark, merbau, blackbutt, iron deck. The timber page has the species and the jobs.

Composite decking

Composite boards when timber is not the right call for the site. That page is the overview. The brand pages below are the ones I actually install.

Brands I install

Millboard

The board I use most on Eastern Suburbs jobs. Clovelly, Vaucluse, Dover Heights and Matraville are Millboard builds.

Trex

Trex on the Maroubra deck and the Mascot rooftop. Look at those two if this is the board you want.

WoodEvo

WoodEvo on the Kingsford pool deck, Double Bay and Waverley.

NewTechWood

NewTechWood composite. The type page has the detail.

Framing, tight sites, replacements

ClickDeck

Aluminium deck framing. I use it where the structure needs to be lighter or the site is tight.

Low-clearance

Ultra-low and aluminium framing for sites that will not take a standard joist height.

Deck replacement

Existing deck coming out, new one going in. Same consultation. Same person on the tools.
